![]() ![]() Not only does Devi go back and forth on her feelings for several people, so do other characters. ![]() This feeling of being utterly stumped by the show’s narrative choices happens way too often in season three. Instead, the sequence ends with Ben and Paxton having developed a cordial friendship, without ever telling you why and how. Later, he bonds with Ben at a hospital, but the show doesn’t mine this scenario for dramatically rich material. On one occasion, he randomly finds himself in the same room as Fabiola, and decides to give her some relationship advice. Her friends Eleanor and Fabiola have their own romances on the side, but since even they aren’t invested in them, how can the show expect the audience to be? Ben literally disappears for what seems like full episodes, while the show contrives increasingly unbelievable ways for Paxton to remain relevant. People that had nicely-rounded arcs previously now just exist in service of Devi. It can’t help but feel like the show has run out of ideas for not just her, but every other character as well. Sidelined with an aimless comedic track with Nirdesh’s irritating mom, Nalini is all but forgotten this season. Played by the wonderful Poorna Jagannathan, Nalini had always been my favourite character on the show, but the mildly worrying signs that had begun to poke their heads out of the sand in season two are now fully running wild. Nirdesh’s entire storyline comes across as a waste of time, and it’s made worse because it’s conflated with a parallel plot involving their mothers. He’s called Nirdesh, and he exists purely as plot buffer to distract Devi until she regains her senses. So, this season, it introduces another cute boy to the ensemble. For some reason, series creators Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher seem to working under the assumption that the show will face an existential threat if it’s not actively pushing Devi into a love triangle of some sort. Needless to say, she blows it with multiple people. We can’t wait for the next season to premiere, and until then, there are so many great Netflix original series still coming with new seasons in 2021.And as weird as this might sound, losing her virginity is Devi’s primary goal this season, as she emerges from the grief of losing her father, and the emotional toll of dating two boys simultaneously last season. You just never know!Ĭurrently, that’s our best prediction with the available information, but at the end of the day, we know that season 3 will be released in 2022. Of course, the season could also arrive as late as September 2022. Right now, the season 3 release date could be in spring 2022 if production begins by the end of 2021, but it’s more likely that we’ll see Devi make her grand return in early summer 2022. That could be the case with Never Have I Ever season 3, but we will have a clearer idea on a release date in 2022 once filming begins. There was a 15-month gap between the first and second seasons, but this one could be shorter.įor certain Netflix original series, the gap between seasons has been getting shorter, with some new seasons even arriving in less than a year. Never Have I Ever season 3 release date predictionsĪlthough Never Have I Ever first made its premiere on Netflix in April 2020, the second season was slightly delayed due to the pandemic and didn’t debut until mid-July 2021. ![]() But we have a pretty good idea when season 3 could be coming. Unfortunately, when Netflix reveled the complete list of new release movies and shows coming in October 2021, Never Have I Ever season 3 wasn’t one of the amazing titles hitting the streamer this fall. That means, 10 more episodes of the hilarious Mindy Kaling co-created teen comedy series will be coming soon to our watch lists. Luckily, Netflix announced the Never Have I Ever season 3 renewal in August 2021, about one month after the second season’s premiere. When we left Devi and her friends in the Never Have I Ever season 2 finale, Devi made a definitive choice between Ben and Paxton, and the repercussions of that choice are sure to be felt in the third season. We can’t wait for more laughs in Never Have I Ever season 3. Never Have I Ever is definitely one of the best Netflix original series right now, and there’s no doubt that it’s also hands-down among the funniest shows on Netflix, well, maybe ever.
